A local association of design and construction professionals in the Dallas area chartered by the Institute to further the purposes to which the Institute is dedicated. The Dallas Chapter is committed to offering quality programs and services to serve the needs of its members and the design and construction community.
The area of the Chapter covers all of the Dallas Metroplex. We are the largest Chapter in the South Central Region of CSI, and are the seventh largest chapter in the United States.
Established in 1948, CSI is a national professional association that provides technical information and products, continuing education, professional conferences, and product shows to enhance communication among all the non-residential building design and construction industry's disciplines and meet the industry's needs for a common system of organizing and presenting construction documents. The Institute's policy of industry-wide membership has resulted in improved communication and unprecedented teamwork to develop innovative products and services of benefit to all involved in nonresidential construction.
The Dallas Chapter CSI was chartered on February 16, 1957, with 22 Active members,and 43 Associate members. We are a growing Chapter with many interests. Today, the Chapter has grown to over 320 members. We openly invite and encourage non-members to join us at our monthly Chapter Meetings, and to attend Chapter-sponsored education and technical programs. Members of the Chapter are welcome and encouraged to participate in the various programs and committees of the Chapter. However, just because you are a new member does not mean you cannot participate in leadership activities. If you are interested in serving on or chairing a committee, or serving as an officer or member of the Board, come to the meetings, get involved, and make your interests known.
